Whether you're producing a radio show, podcast, or simply organizing your personal playlist, Sound Byte allows you to easily manage and control the playback of your audio files. It's versatile and can be used in a variety of settings:

Sound Byte supports up to 20 racks of carts, or a total of 1500 recordings (with 420 on the iPhone/iPod). You have the flexibility to set the number of racks in use to avoid dealing with empty and unused ones.

Using Sound Byte is incredibly simple. Just tap a cart and the audio file will begin playing. You have the option to set a title for each cart as well as customize its background color. Additionally, carts can be numbered and marked with a bright red border to make them easily identifiable for immediate playback.

You can configure various settings such as fade in/out times, cut in/out times, playback volume, stereo pan, and rate. Carts can also be set to loop a specified number of times - perfect for sound effects. Flashing notifications can be enabled to warn you seconds before a cart finishes playing so you can prepare for the next one.

Sound Byte allows you to control interactions between carts. For example, touching a cart to start it can automatically stop or fade out any currently playing carts. Sequential playback can also be set up, ensuring a smooth transition from one cart to the next.

For organization purposes, played carts can be marked as such or disabled if you only want them to play once. The app also allows you to log the name and time of played carts in a text file, which can be viewed within the app or copied back to your computer for reference.

To make playback control even easier, Sound Byte supports different sizes of carts. You can display fewer larger carts for better visibility and ease of use.

Sound Byte plays sound files from your Music Library. It's important to note that sound files stored on iCloud cannot be played; they must be stored on your device. The app also supports sound files installed in the Documents folder, which can be accessed via the iTunes app.
